Maharaja Takht Singh of Jodhpur (1843 - 1873). He proved to be an indifferent ruler, spending his days surrounded by his harem of thirty wives chosen from the Rajput clans. Hunting was his passion and he encouraged his wives to accompany him, much to the shock of the Rajput noblewomen who practised strict purdah.
