The Moomins, the cute and cuddly creation of Finnish artist and novelist Tove Jansson, now have a museum dedicated to them, as JASMINE AIRD writes. Fans of the beloved Finnish trolls created by Tove Jansson will be delighted to know that in June this year the Moomin Museum in the city of Tampere in southern Finland opened its doors to the public. This new museum replaces the older and smaller Moominvalley exhibition, which was located in the Tampere Art Museum. The new Moomin Museum can be found in the Tampere Hall – the largest congress and concert centre in the Nordic countries – where it spans two floors and offers visitors an immersive experience in Tove Jansson’s fictional universe.
